Collective Liberation (amazing projects to support)

For hundreds of years Black, Indigenous, other People of Color, Poor people, Immigrants, 2SLGBTQIA + people, Women, Neurodivergent people, Differently abled people and others have been brutally and systematically oppressed. Due to this oppression that is still systemically intact, there are major equity disparities between the large spectrums of privileged and marginalized folks. For those of us who consider ourselves to hold privilege I believe it is important to embrace our responsibility for the power that we hold. I consider myself to hold more power than many in this system as well as less than many. With my white, able bodied, middle class privilege and my queer, neurodivergent experience I am committed to the work of unlearning the racist, classist, ableist, homophobic, capitalist systems that are ingrained into me, dismantling these systems, learning transformative justice, co-creating educational opportunities around these topics for and with other folks in my community, supporting the Land Back and Reparations movements, supporting land based liberation projects, and seeking collective liberation and abundance.

“As a direct result of redlining and other forms of systemic discrimination, WHITE FAMILIES ON AVERAGE POSSESS SIX TIMES THE WEALTH OF BLACK FAMILIES, a disparity which has worsened over time. Additionally, WHILE 73% OF WHITE HOUSEHOLDS OWN THEIR HOME, ONLY 45% OF BLACK HOUSEHOLDS OWN THEIR HOMES.” Reparations Tool Kit
